By using Crosslatch you agree to these terms. Please read them — they're short.

1. The service

Crosslatch is a free daily word puzzle game. We provide it as-is and make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or continued operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. One account per person — creating multiple accounts to circumvent the one-puzzle-per-day limit is not permitted.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the game or API.
Attempt to access puzzle answers before they are scheduled (e.g. by manipulating the date parameter).
Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our infrastructure.
Submit feedback or content that is abusive, unlawful, or spam.

4. Intellectual property

The Crosslatch name, logo, puzzle content, and code are owned by the operator of Crosslatch. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercialise any part of the service without written permission.

Words used in puzzles are common English words. We make no claim over the words themselves.

5. Privacy

Your use of Crosslatch is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and your rights over it.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crosslatch and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of streak data, account access, or service interruptions.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a revised date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
